It was a chilly day. I collected a lot of dandelion leaves and such for the bunnies.

cloudy sky near sunset. the horizon area is tinted bright yellow. overhead are light grey textured clouds that loosely cover the sky, some are being hit by the light of the setting sun.

a compound leaf of staghorn sumac. the leaflets form a gradient from green to red as they are getting their autumn colours.

apple trees in the warm looking yellow-orange evening sunlight. the trees are looking a bit wild.

another shot of apple trees in front of the pastel gradient sunset sky with the sunlight hitting a section of the meadow.

sunset over the fallow field that is green with young canola plants, and the big dark oak trees next to it. the sky is partially covered in light clouds.

a row of large alder trees by the stream side, after sunset. the light is starting to get gloomy. the dense trees have dark desaturated shades of green.

It's hard to really capture the impeccable vibes of the plum orchard. The way the tree branches look like arches in some secret world. They keep the light out much more than the photos make it look like.

after sunset vibes in the plum orchard. the trees are looking wild and tangled.

Now for today's photos, there are a lot. I had a busy day, then I went for my walk in the evening. It was quite chilly, definitely should've worn more than a t-shirt. Autumn really came quickly.

I gave the cows some apples. Not enough apples if you ask them probably.

This is the back door of the house I live in.

a house wall with a door and two small windows. the wall is completely overgrown with wild grapevines, the leaves of which are still almost fully green.

a plant growing between paving stones, the leaves are forming a rosette shape. around it are some patches of moss.

The plum orchard always has such vibes. It was wet and fragrant, subdued but not silent, with some distinct bird voices audible.

early autumn vibes in the plum orchard, the trees are gnarly and wild looking and there are brown fallen leaves all over the ground.

Then I went onto the field for the sunset, it was one of those days where the sunset just keeps getting better and better. The field is very muddy now that there has been a bunch of rain.

the sky filled with light, fuzzy scattered clouds that are tinted pastel pinkish from the sunset.

Tomorrow I'll start wearing a hoodie for sure.

First the announcement. I have made a discord server! You're invited!
Here's the link: https://discord.gg/B5xptRsHzG

The server is not going to replace the main page, it is just an additional place where I will post the near-daily photos. It is also a way to find me and connect on discord in case a direct friend request and DMs feel like too much (but if you would like to send a direct friend request instead, my discord name is in my profile sidebar if you follow me). I just want it to be a nice chill tiny place to find some solace and comfort for people who are already using discord.
It also has a channel for everyone to post their own nature and pet photos if they would like to do so.
There is no obligation to participate in any way, so if you'd just like to come chill and look at photos sometimes, that's cool.
Please note that the photo quality on discord is going to be worse due to its automatic image compression. Also I am posting only the photos there, no tags, accompanying text or alt text. These things will all continue to be available on the main page/blog though.

I have not yet decided on a place to move the main page/blog to. I'm also still taking feedback about where you would like to see my photos in the future. I have read all your comments so far and I'm going to think about it some more.

Ok, now for the photos. It was actually starting to get a bit chilly out today, which was pleasant.

sunset over the fallow field. the sky is clear above, but there are clouds at the horizon. the sun is casting rays from behind the clouds.

evening sky over the fallow field, the sun has already fully vanished behind the horizon clouds.

leaves of a linden tree branch. some of them have turned yellow, others are still fully green.

I gathered fresh greens for the bunnies and then I visited the cow boys. With the changing season, flies are going to become less of an issue for them at least. They were very curious about whether I had any apples (I did not, sadly, but I will have some again on another day).

This page is going to lose its home soon. This is sad and difficult for me since I have enjoyed Cohost very much and found it convenient and pleasant to use both for my personal page and for this photo page. I am definitely going to keep posting photos in a format similar to this page somewhere else in the future. Currently I am not sure where exactly that is going to be.

If you're interested in my photos, please let me know on what platform you would like to see them in the future.

I am considering fedi/mastodon, neocities or possibly other options too. But I will probably only be able to have the main page in a single place, so I'll have to pick one. I might also make a discord server on top of that since dropping just the daily photos there would be low effort enough.

If you have any opinions at all, please do comment.

As for today's photos, here they are. Autumn has arrived, as predicted. The vibes have completely changed overnight, the temperatures have dropped a lot, the wind is different, the sky is different, the scents are different. Just the leaves are still mostly green as of now.

I visited the cow boys and gave each of them apples.
