stuck at the train station for an hour here are some Bandcamp recommendations. I'm doing this on HERE and not Twitter because no one ever listens to my recommendations on Twitter and they don't deserve it anyway. no particular order except sort of reverse chronological, and ending with my all-time favorite. if you enjoy any of this stuff let me know!

This tape-fucked single in the style of a 1970 pop b-side. I linked this recently here already.

bluegrass guy made a hybrid electronic album. very well written very catchy. listen to Tell Me Frank to fall in love immediately with this album, or let it happen the slow way chronologically. very very charming.

this is maybe my second favorite all time Bandcamp find. it reminds me of the soundtrack to a lost Rankin and Bass Christmas special except it's not actually Christmassy and it is actually good (sorry Rankin and Bass).

really well executed country flavoured indie. thin arms music boy music. sorry. Lost In The Country is the standout, along with the opening track

intimidating cool girl english major music. really exciting dissonance, great melodic bass.

not a Bandcamp find for me, but I did buy it on there. nana grizol remains massively underrated. Ruth is simply one of the best albums ever made. leans a little sincere-queer but they back it up with just the best shit I've ever heard again and again. Try not to love Gave On or Arthur Hall.

can't believe this one is almost 10 years old. maybe the first no skips album I ever found one bandcamp? dirty pitch: stoner dropout bedroom folk The Cars. to me this is a The Cars album, if the cars were 20 somethings who were terrified by and resigned to a changing world. Cars-sound is most obvious in Strange Euphoria, if you're just curious.

This is it! creme de la creme, the hottest shit I ever found on bandcamp. been talking about it for a decade, but this one is beautiful and weird and awesome. horse themed baroque chamber music body horror. double album (Stallin' is first and Saddle Up starts with 'hott r nott') I prefer album 2 but the whole thing is a masterpiece and also sort of a nightmare. too big of a project to live, this is their one and only release

okay perfect timing my train is here byeee

in reply to @KeithJCarberry's post:

The first single feels like I found it by digging through my parents' tapes of songs they recorded off the radio.

A bunch of the other ones made me flash back almost 15 years to when I was doing radio at my college freshman year. Some of the stuff that'd play on the bumpers and from the other shows on the channel felt right like that.

Spent the last few days listening to all of these. Fantastic selection.

One Fine, Sweet & Sunny Day is the standout for me. An absolute revelation. Listened to a couple of the Matchsellers albums as well, but the straightforward bluegrass isn't as much of my jam.

Essential Forever and Nice Apple slap. Plus, hometown pride for Nice Apple. Walter Mitty was very good — heavy Front Bottoms vibes.

Thanks for the recs!!
