As part of Zelda Club, I played through Ocarina of Time for the first time in years, and now I really want to do a randomizer! So I am!
before now, i kind of thought that randomizers were kind of a novelty, just a new way to spice up a game you already know
but after a few hours ive learned that the OOT randomizer is a tool that turns your familiarity into one of the most dynamic puzzles ive ever seen.
the joy i felt at unlocking a particular Ocarina song and knowing that i can now access 3 new locations and 9 new chests which will lead to dozens of new puzzles was incredible
it feels like doing a crossword.
if this is true, then this is true, then this might be possible, which lets me do this
a cascade of possibilities all happening in a system you thought you were bored off
