Slightly unconventional pick, but honey! Ketchup isn't really my thing despite loving tomatoes, bbq sauce has never been my favorite, and pretty much everything else pales in comparison to the beautiful sweet n savory combo that is honey and nuggies.

leave it to the carolina cow to point out there's barbecue sauces that don't use tomato out there, and in fact carolina barbecue uses a honey (and mustard) based sauce
if you can find a thing of melvin's barbecue sauce, or apparently Duke's sells a carolina gold now (though i can't vouch for it) you might like it. different flavor profile from the tomato based sauces
but also i get the honey thing, it sounds like it fucks tbh
