Age of Wonders 4 is scratching the strategy itch I've been having. I completed my first game after starting over once after getting the hang of things. Tried to go for an expansion victory but ended up with military victory by accident.

The goblin ruler declared war on me so I killed her, then I had a long positive diplomatic relationship with the remaining NPC, the elf queen, who eventually proposed an alliance... which immediately triggered my victory LOL

Cool that you can get a military victory without killing everyone.

I was just playing as the human paladin preset to keep things simple but I'm looking forward to playing again with a custom character next time.

@milktea asked:

what games have you played/enjoyed recently?

  • I'm still playing Destiny 2 for maybe 4-5 hours a week but that's more of a social space than anything else for me these days.

  • Still working through Elden Ring! I really like the game when I'm playing it. I also think it takes enough concentration that I kind of have to be in the right head space to get into it, and I haven't been for the past couple of weeks.

  • This weekend I started Master Detective Archives: Rain Code which is basically a spiritual successor to Danganronpa. I'm only a couple of hours in, and it is very wacky. I'm not sure what I think of it yet.

I'm playing Celeste for the first time.... not normally my kind of game, I kind of hate platformers, but trying to be more open minded. It was on a good sale and everyone is always yelling about how good it is.

I knew it was hard... I didn't expect it to be this hard this soon though 😭
