im curious to hear: what do you use to keep track of things you're watching/reading/playing/etc and want to watch/play/read/etc? im going to use the word "consume" from here on out to unify all those meanings because typing all the verbs every time is annoying lmao.
i want a unified solution rather than using like letterboxd for movies and myanimelist for anime etc

re: my last repost. notion has added bullshit ai stuff so im wanting to switch off, but ive built myself a kinda specific usecase that i dont want to lose the functionality of.

my use case is as follows:

kind of like trello, i can add an entries for something im consuming, then i can attach labels like "movie" or "comic" or "series" that categorize them to their own specific kanban boards, and also a separate "state" of the item such as "want to consume" "in progress" "consumed" that moves it between columns
but i ALSO have a unified view, where i can see every single thing im actively consuming at once regardless of label. and on that view, i can set a date where e.g. a new chapter of something is released, so it hides it until the date arrives, where it then appears again to signify "hey! a new chapter/episode is out for you to consume!"

it's that last feature that's really the kicker here, i think. i looove having something where every time i check it i can see if there's a new episode or chapter since it's hard to keep track of everything that's releasing live

any ideas? honestly im curious what people use even if it doesnt have all these features, im willing to mix it up if i need to...
