i originally moved to seattle back in 2016, but came down to la last year because i was required to do so to work at riot. given the choice, i wouldnt have moved, but i wasnt opposed to doing so to keep this cool job.

a year later it turns out i never really figured out how to vibe with la. i live in santa monica, which is surprisingly walkable. ive enjoyed living so close to the beach and being close to some friends and i LOOOVE the weather. but as soon as i need to leave santa monica for anything the city is just so Big. everything is so far away and feels vaguely inaccessible. i own a car but driving here is such a specific kind of pain that i dont know i could explain.
also i miss @kyn and need to be close to her again or ill die.

luckily, riot just opened up an office in bellevue, and i managed to get reassigned there. so im allowed to live in seattle again! last week i visited it for the first time in a year and it already felt like it was still home. and in a couple weeks ill be back, permanently (?)
