being cross trained in data engineering is fascinating because i have learned that "data engineering" is actually just writing 400 lines of sql and waiting fourteen hours for the query to finish

unfortunately i am also a software engineer which means i'll take the results of a query that took all night and just run a regular for loop over it because i really dont want to run a second query to do a join i forgot
