im pretty sure jira is some sort of Unlearnable Software cryptid. ive been using it for years and years now and i still constantly have trouble doing things like "finding a ticket"
in all my years of working with JIRA I usually "navigated" it by keeping track of ticket IDs in my paper logbook and typing the ticket URLs in directly, because it was generally faster and more reliable than any sort of dashboard view or search functionality.
yeah this is the way to do it. i basically just keep a bunch of direct links to tickets in a notes document since otherwise they'll just disappear into the void sometimes
I counted fifteen different "done" states for a ticket once. And every instance is set up differently!
