Aquariums are a meme in the yuri genre. I have tried cataloguing examples of aquariums featuring in yuri.

This is absolutely great. We all know that aquarium visits are a stock plot element in yuri manga and anime, but did you know exactly how much of a stock plot element they are? Now you do.

Incidentally, it appears that 2019 was the peak year for yuri aquarium dates. Perhaps after that year mangaka themselves realized that it was getting to be a bit of a cliché. But what (if anything) will replace them?
