With GTP4 on the horizion, I wonder why I bother to write at all, when one can just type "make a stupid story" in a prompt and get 25000 words in an instant. How can you compete with "an AI did it"? How can you rise above the coherent and passable noise that can output at a far faster pace than you ever could? Whats going to happen when everything is content sludge meant to be fed to a AI Text to Speech converter and seen in a 16 second tiktok? We are all going to be undercut and outpaced by a fucking language model. A deluge of cruft and debris and slop meant to pump nonstop advertisements and scams into our faces endlessly forever. Squeezing the last bit of attention and money we have left over. We cannot even make art for ourselves anymore.
