Recently I visited the Pacific Science Center in Seattle's...Seattle Center. It is a science museum kind of aimed at kids but I found it delightful as an adult. In one of the first rooms are a bunch of animatronic dinosaurs and dinosaur facts(tm) and it feels really cool, dinosaurs just have this neat universal appeal and wonder. In the exhibit were these toddler-height dioramas of dinosaurs doing dinosaur things, and as I looked at them I figured they were probably very old, or perhaps original to the museum in some way. It looked like something that would form a core memory in a small child, something they'd remember forever. These dioramas probably live in the memories of thousands of people and thinking about it makes me cry a lil.
