My best guess is the Xbox One controller I use. It's nice but I use a USB connector to attach it to my computer, and I have used 2 Xbox One controllers, and two usb connectors, and tried multiple usb ports, and whenever I start a game somehow it crashes. I had a Logitech Ocean Gates model controller lying around which I used and I didn't get any crashes. So I think that's the problem.
Regardless I think it's new PC time because why would a controller crash a computer that's just fucking stupid
