After weeks of running like shit the Revival is finally running normally. That is: it fires up generally when I want it to, you can ride it to full throttle and it doesn't die out. Normal Bike Things.

In possibly my most successful tuning session ever, I was advised to...replace the transmission fluid. Y'see this bike I got only had 30 miles on it, and it was made around 2006 or 2008, so ORIGINAL stuff was in there, it breaks down over time, and I hadn't gotten around to even seeing if the fluid was even there or not.

Thankfully the stuff that came out was mostly pink with some oily black stuff. I put in some Motorex ATF, this is swiss made shit, only the finest. I probably overfilled it. The way you're supposed to fill these is that there isn't an exact measurment. You take out a screw that's on the side of the transmission case, then fill it until it spills out the side, then you're done. Except this screw is made of the cheapest weakest metal known to humanity and it's always fused in there, so I always strip it when I try to open it up. Instead i just kind of eyeball 220ml of fluid and that generally works. I think I overfilled it because it's kind of sluggish, but considering what was in there to begin with, maybe overfilling is a good thing.

Also I bent the aftermarket bracket to fit the pipe on even more, so I could actually use proper mounting hardware and not...a wood screw. The pipe I have on it is my Tomo's old Biturbo pipe, this is the mildest of mild moped pipes, good for at least 40mph top speed. I am not expecting this bike to break speed records yet I just want it to go from A to B.

Anyway, it ran like a champ. I did a small test loop around the neighborhood and it didn't stall out or die at all. I rode home and slapped a mesh filter on the carb because it felt sluggish, and that made it run a little better. I'm thinking maybe I slap the stock filter on it, since less air will actually be better for it. I haven't jetted the thing at all for the winter months because just getting it to run was a struggle.

It rides really comfortably. It has a huge padded seat and the riding position is closer to a chopper. you ride upright. I could ride this thing for miles.
