Practicing Homosexual

due to the nature of the company I work for, I have to get legal to sign off on any videogame related stuff I do even though it's in my spare time and not using company hardware. I am doing my due dilligence by informing them i'm leaving the company and I need to close the agreements, but it's been a day and they haven't responded, so I'm a little worried my projects are in legal limbo. However I think if they don't make contact despite my multiple attempts they are not holding up their end of the agreement I feel like I can claim I held up my end and they failed to do so.

i utterly hate for my hobbies and creative persuits to be waylaid by corporate. In hindsight I probably could have just avoided bringing them up with the company because it's likely I will release it after I leave. I do this because legal rights come down to who can spend the most money on lawyers, who cost hundreds of dollars an hour.

That really sucks, I wish there was protections for people trying to work on things outside their job from being scooped. Wishing you luck through the process

If it helps and you’re looking for a new day job, I hear bungie is fairly lax about hobby game dev outside work. My partner works there, I can ask them if they could refer you if you’re interested

I have a new gig so I won't need to work there. I actually sorta wrote bungie off because the last time I interviewed it took 8 hours, I met with like 12 people, and I did it all on 2 hours of sleep. They still said no. I ain't going through that again lmao
