Noticed that search results in youtube only had 6 relevant results before it shows "More videos" alongside shit that I am not looking for. Then it would show "+6 more" and then six more results, and after that more "For You" videos, followed by "+12 more" so it's suppressing things I am actively looking for with shit I am NOT looking for.

I've been having a similar frustration with finding answers on Quora lately because they would show answers to related questions before the actual answers to the question being asked. It boggles my mind why they would even do that.
Oh god really? I just assumed that the results screen was broken because I'd find Quora results in google and then click on it, and the displayed page would show me something totally different. I never thought to scroll down at all to see.
Yeah, and even then I would still struggle to find the answer sometimes lol.
they probably did this because A/B testing revealed that showing more and more "for you" or algorithmic results has a higher "engagement" rating or whatever so now everything is going to eventually devolve into the most useless horrible shit
