I love when people in a fandom get mad and are like “we need to speak with our wallets. Boycott the next the release >:(“ and I’m sitting here with my terabytes of pirated software like “wait, y’all are still buying games in 2024?”

I love Satch on Sims because I feel like he’s one of the only Simmers that’s fully holds The Sims 4 accountable for its shortcomings without trying to make the video’s overall message positive or trying to do a compliment sandwich. I feel like he has really down to earth and realistic opinions about the game…
But any time he opens his mouth about anything I’m just like, shut up. Next. Nobody cares. Move on. He fr gives me Log Cabin Gay vibes.
Actually, now that I'm thinking about it, I wonder if these lackluster "packs" we've been getting for The Sims 4 are actually "refined" scraps that got scrapped. As in, we know Spa Day wasn't the only pack refresh EA was planning to do, but because of the under-performance of the pack, they most likely scrapped the other updates they had in the works. I wonder if they're now trying to sell those scrapped ideas back to us in order to make up on their lost time investment.
Growing Together = Parenthood Refresh
Horse Ranch = Cats & Dogs (Pets) Refresh
For Rent = City Living Refresh
Home Chef Hustle = Cool Kitchen Refresh
Crystal Creations = Realm of Magic Refresh
I'm not saying it's that likely, but it's certainly a conspiracy theory I don't think EA is above.
The Sims team releasing a trailed where a pop-up in the game contains a typo basically explains the current status of Electronic Arts and The Sims franchise.
