I love Satch on Sims because I feel like he’s one of the only Simmers that’s fully holds The Sims 4 accountable for its shortcomings without trying to make the video’s overall message positive or trying to do a compliment sandwich. I feel like he has really down to earth and realistic opinions about the game…
But any time he opens his mouth about anything I’m just like, shut up. Next. Nobody cares. Move on. He fr gives me Log Cabin Gay vibes.
I mean this fully seriously when I say it: Infants were one of the worst editions that The Sims 4 ever could have made.
Not only do they needlessly extend the Sims’s lifespan, but they make parenting multiple sims so much harder. Infants and Toddlers shouldn’t be able to stop an adult sim dead in their tracks and demand something. I just clicked on the exact same option at l least ten times, trying to make my sim change an infant’s diaper, but they wouldn’t, because who tf knows!
They kept trying to put the baby down over and over. Completely unnecessary. I knew from day one when the sims fandom was demanding infants in the game that they would be horrendous to play with, and here we are.
Actually, now that I'm thinking about it, I wonder if these lackluster "packs" we've been getting for The Sims 4 are actually "refined" scraps that got scrapped. As in, we know Spa Day wasn't the only pack refresh EA was planning to do, but because of the under-performance of the pack, they most likely scrapped the other updates they had in the works. I wonder if they're now trying to sell those scrapped ideas back to us in order to make up on their lost time investment.
