@staff are on record as saying that they're committed to allowing as much content here as they feasibly can, forever. supporting payment for it is on the roadmap as well. and since Cohost is worker-owned, they're never going to be squeezed into censorship by VC overlords looking to transmute an audience into a profit
this is really spectacular in 2023, when Apple is busy squeezing the internet into its vision of perfectly manicured censorship, Tumblr is parading around "we allow breasts again as long as you don't get horny" as though it's some kind of win, and Patreon is cheerfully kicking off anyone who admits they've heard of sex. we're so blessed to have this place
every time i get to type "#pornography" into the tags, even though i know it's not entirely necessary with the Adult Content checkbox that's built into the site (!), it feels like a little victory
honestly for me, tagging stuff as "#furry porn" just feels like i'm putting it there just so people can see it. it feels less like a warning and more like a sign i'm waving with an arrow on it that says "furry porn right here if you wanna see it". it's sharing.
