Still have bad memories of trying to be a skunk on Twitter and minding my own business and being hounded by musk enthusiasts and other stink-seeking horndogs.
Shit about broke me, and I still can't get back into big tail headspace.

That's the important part right there.

Don't let the weird fursona police stop you from doing whatever you want

I miss it, but I just can't get back to that place.

i'm not saying to make decisions entirely to spite the common tropes

but it's fun if it works for you.

signed, a dragon that did everything wrong on purpose and a cow that is also a snake

I've got a few of those, in specific! Leaning into a species' stereotypes can be a lot of fun, but bucking those trends is also a really good time :>

I'm just making up new spider stereotypes as I go along.

y'know, the weird thing to me on this is... skunks normally do not stink, they have a defensive spray that stinks. they hate how it smells. a skunk, by itself, just smells like an ordinary furred animal, they're a kind of weasel

anyone telling you skunks have to stink because "that's what they're actually like" is not even doing an appeal to realism, they're just full of themselves. even if they were, it doesn't matter! but you already knew this
