Was watching Daria on TV (which in my case means it was the latin american spanish dub) and they said a word that was, let's say, very translated, so I got curious about what the original word was...

Somehow, the first result I got for my search was this website that has the transcripts for all episodes, plus other details like song lists for each episode:
https://outpost-daria-reborn.info/

and it kinda made me really happy that I managed to stumble, entirely organically, into this old-internet style website (its last update was on 2021, but it's apparently a continuation of an actually older dead Daria website) that's full of what feels like a lot of effort for the sake of this very specific thing.

Also it has a fanfic category with so much stuff... i only wish the images weren't all dead so i could also see the fanart.

Even more surprising though, was that "Daria fandom blog" linked in the homepage that says this in its tagline:

A semi-irregular blog of news, opinions, and random ideas about MTV's Daria and its fandom, plus anything else even vaguely Daria related

but that "semi-irregular" feels like such a lie, that place is still updating multiple times a month, for Daria. Daria ended in 2002! This place has been going since 2007!

And even further, it turns out, just like that Outpost Daria site, this one too is the successor of an even older place, and that kind of really resonated with me, because it feels like it's not only an effort towards Daria as a thing they wanted to talk about and see being talked about, but also towards carrying on even older efforts by other people.

The blog's updates seem to mostly link to stuff that happens within still active Daria communities that exist within login-locked forums. I am not gonna go down that rabbit hole, but shoutouts to those communities for existing.

Anyways... from the year 2024, I sit here reading what seems like the first post from that blog. The date says "November 23, 2007". And there, one anonymous comment made that same day, encourages the author like so:

Here's to a long and fun run

(the "connection not secure" notice from my browser for this blog only adds to its beauty)
