there's a post going around about how GPT is just "mansplaining as a service" or whatever because it's confidently incorrect and I... don't think that's what mansplaining is. all the definitions I see require that the explanation is condescending, which these models aren't (unless you ask them to be).
and I'm also not a fan of the usage of the term to describe something that isn't a man and doesn't know the gender of the person it's explaining to, because at that point you're just saying that being confidently wrong is inherently masculine behavior, which is absolutely not true lol
