i think there's a lot of talk about "supporting people being weird" or whatever, but a lot of the time it just boils down to "supporting people being weird in ways i personally find acceptable". this is especially true when it comes to "techbros" being weird and e.g. drinking soylent instead of food, or having sparse living spaces, or whatever. because, you know, if they don't find pleasure in things I find pleasure in, they're just soulless, right?
i'm mostly talking about stuff like this and the comments, which i'm linking not out of a "yeah dogpile this person, get their ass" thing but because i think vagueposting is toxic as hell
