no more social media. i make text games that are poorly rated in game jams and talk about cool niche stuff.

oh my god, thanks for writing this at the exact moment i needed to read it. lately i've been playing some 80s fantasy action/crawlers (largely due to EGG CONSOLE) and 90s/00s namco games with prominent references to this game. but i too have wondered if i'd find this game to be beyond my capacity for enjoyment, so it's really heartening to read about an experience like this. of course, now that i think of it, this is hardly the first time i've heard the english community say a game that's highly regarded elsewhere is too confusing/punishing/etc. to really enjoy, and some of those i've also fallen tremendously in love with. basically, i've gotta check it out
(i've also never gotten into real-time roguelike type games, though in the past few years a couple of turn-based ones have actually managed to catch my interest for a while. i do feel like there's a tendency for the kind of randomness in heavily procgen games to be a lot less compelling for me than this kind of thing where it mixes up your "hard" knowledge about the game)
