Two hours of mirror grinding brought me from the first pic to the second! The center zone got so big! It's so much straighter! I'm much closer to a spherical mirror!

You should consider measuring it with a Foucault test to see if you're close to a parabola. You wouldn't be able to tell by looking qualitatively, but this is what a parabola would look like through a ronchi grating.
