the species he transforms into are telepathic and communicate primarily through that - making vocal and physical communication much less common than in non-psychic species
my guy wasn't raised as one of these creatures and is generally pretty new to the culture so he keeps... just, naturally doing actions to show his mood or add on to meanings anyway even though it adds nothing to the conversation. kinda like when you're on a voice chat or call and you keep gesturing with your hands even though nobody can see
anyway i just think itd be cute if like, the baby puppies start picking up this weird habit from him later down the line. accidentally teaching these kids a bunch of WEIRDO NONSENSE stop WAGGING YOUR TAIL2 thats for BALANCE geez!!!

technically doesn't turn into a wolf so werewolf isn't quite correct - theyre based on maned wolves but are technically their own species so thats two "not quite wolf" votes already. the creatures themselves also dont transform hes just speshul3
