While we wait to discover which will win, Optifine updating to 1.20.2 or me downloading Iris, here's some WIP screenshots I took of one of my current projects before our realm updated! I'm working on prettying up the forest around my base, building my own trees for the first time, making the space navigable, and lighting the area enough to make it safe while looking as natural as possible. IT HAS TURNED OUT TO BE, A BIG PROJECT, but I'm really happy with how it's coming out so far!! Another shot, of the lake this time:

I'd recommend Sodium plus Iris anyway over optifine. Even if it's updated to the latest version
One of the resource packs I'm enjoying a lot (fresh animations) is unfortunately Optifine Only, so for right now I'd like to keep optifine as an option, haha; tho I'm QUITE new to minecraft so the main thing im using optifine for is making the shaders work when I briefly turn them on for screenshots. What's the benefit of Sodium specifically? I'm a little intimidated by all the options for this stuff, but I've been recc'd that one in a couple of comments
