I think I've mostly been sticking to the big bangers myself, there are so many of them and they are so good. Off the top of my head I feel that Neon White got a lot of great press in 2022 when it came out and then fell by the wayside when said bangers came out. It was my favorite game from last year and I will continue to sing its praises.
Tactics Ogre Reborn is a game I need to go back and finish, but it seemed like a really good port of a classic.
The Centennial Case: A Shijima Story is something I haven't gotten around to but did purchase in the current summer sale. I feel like a lot of people are skipping this one but it looks utterly fascinating, and I'll jump on any game that's FMV.
Soul Hackers 2, though developed and published by Atlus/Sega, also seems to have flown under the radar and is another game I picked up during the summer sale.
Terra Invicta is still in early access so I've limited my play because I don't want to get worn out by a game before its finished, but what I have played I loved so far. If you like the setting of X-Com but felt that the strategy game wasn't for you, but you really wanted to get into the macro side of such a conflict, Terra Invicta may be for you.
Perfect Tides is a classic style adventure game made by Meredith Gran of Octopus Pie fame, which has solidified itself as the best webcomic ever in my mind. I didn't hear anyone talk about it but as a 90s kid it spoke to me.
