@cathoderaydude wants to complete the main campaign with me in Diablo 4, but he's busy working on the new video this week, and I've already gotten my alt to the point where he and I have progressed.
So I installed Path of Exile, a game I've been dipping my toes into every few years since beta, and in general I love the complexity of the systems in PoE far more than D4 right now. D4 feels a bit too simplistic in ways.
I also like the mob density of PoE vs D4.
My character in PoE does speak occasional one liners in reaction to killing bosses/elites or arriving in new places, but for the most part is silent especially during the story, so huge ups compared to D4.
There's also no durability system, which is my biggest complaint about modern video games.
PoE desperately needs to add a dash button though. That's the biggest innovation d4 has brought to the table.
