Technically, if you skip the feature length theatrical movie, the four episode anime mini series, the dlc that is incredibly obviously cut content, and the side quests that take up 90% of the play time and offer no real relevance to the plot, you too are speedrunning FFXV.

However, if you do the emotional payoff at the end of the game will completely miss you, and you'll have wasted your time.

In this cohost user's opinion, the emotional payoff in Final Fantasy XV is top tier.

I played FFXV in 2020 after the wider ship had really sailed on it. It's a really touching game that really clicked with me. Noctis is a really underappreciated FF protagonist who I really love. I'll always be sad it never got to really shine due to the internal staff shakeup.
