Hi! My name is Hocolate Milk. I'm doing my best to make funny, sexy, interesting illustrations and my hope is that you find my work entertaining!

I try and put out at least one new personal piece per month, not including commissions.

Asks are very encouraged, I hope to address all of them because I love talking about my work and characters :>

I really want to use this website more and start engaging with people on here, building friendships, finding communities and so on. For a while I thought that the reason I had failed to really start exploring this place was that I still had the bird app installed, but after getting rid of it, now I just barely use any social media.

99% of the time I'm using cohost, it's on my phone, in browser. The mobile interface for the website is fine (honestly, it considers the needs of mobile users far better than I was expecting) but no matter how good the layout is, nothing changes the fact that if I want to look at the comments on a post, I have to get thrown into a whole new page, leaving my timeline behind. That kind of friction is enough to just make me not want to click on art in the same way I did on Twitter.

Maybe I just use the internet wrong, but I don't know, I feel as though this website could really benefit from a dedicated app that just makes it easier for me to engage?

Dubiously related but here goes

I think in my own experience a lot of it has been figuring out how I can get what i want out of cohost.

Some people probably have loads of bookmarked tags to get exactly the stuff they want on their bookmarked feed. Other people might follow a lot because the tastes of whoever they follow generally line up with what they like.

I follow a decent but growing number of people and then use bookmarked topic to cover the gaps of things I’m particularly interested in. When I started just following people I ended getting more stuff that made me think “oh that’s cool”

idk how other people actually use cohost lol but I’m sure everyone has their methods lmao :eggbug-tuesday:
