It's been really lovely seeing all of the tributes and public reactions to Toriyama's passing. I can't say anything original about it that hasn't already been said, even though I owe so much of myself to his work, because that's true of so many other people who have already said those things.
I can't of many other living entertainment figures who would warrant such universal, cross cultural adulation, and Toriyama always came across as such an earnest, modest guy. I think it's really sweet that someone like that can become the subject of such celebration and change so many people's lives.
