One thing I am noticing even more this read-through is Dumas is working hard to get his money. He will take it up on himself (as is the fashion of the day) to include as many words as he could possibly summon to his mind in order to properly convey the myriad ideas in which he would so desire to express to his dear readers who so desperately wish to read said words upon the newsprint of the day. I know this is because he's getting paid by word or page (I cannot recall which), and I respect it, but sometimes he will repeat a description two or three times in order to include as many words as he could possibly summon to his mind in order to properly convey the myriad ideas in which he would so desire to express to his dear readers who so desperately wish to read said words upon the newsprint of the day.
