I had to get the Moderna vax yesterday because my exposure was about to skyrocket with kids going back to school, I wish I had gotten it last weekend so I was maximally protected but I needed the 3 day weekend so I could recover and (hopefully) not miss any work. The news about Novavax came out literally right after I made my appointment but obviously no one has it yet because it was just authorized.

However, this is my worst reaction to the mRNA vaccines so far. I feel like I was ran over by an 18-wheeler while laying in a field of stinging nettle. But id rather a couple days of this than the risk of adding long COVID to my CVS receipt of chronic illnesses.

Novavax is great for a few reasons. It provides more blanket coverage for different variants, that coverage is more effective for a longer period of time, and if you're like me and keep getting horrible reactions to the mRNA vaccines then this is also a good one to take because there are fewer reports of serious side effects.

Coworker comes in sick but doesn't mask while sitting at their desk which is right next to mine.

"But there's a window between us"

Yeah right next to the open doorway that is also between us.

It's not like they don't know I get sick easy. I wear an n95 but 1 way respirator use is not particularly effective especially when youre just marinating in a coworker's viral load for 8 hours a day.

Idk why I ever thought to work in healthcare, this job is going to kill me bc people would rather forgo a mask than have an ounce of solidarity.
