interesting! they aren't specifically programmed to do so although i bet i could in the future.. hmm
one thing that may be happening is that i believe the mouse may attract them more when it's farther away, and they definitely slow down trying to steer away from each other when in a pile of close neighbors, so if you're holding down the mouse when they're far away and releasing as the swarm gets close it probably does feel like the mouse speeds em up
