@Doggymilf asked:

what pup songs would you recommend for a girlie lookin to discover em?

YEAH OK SO
here's an arbitrary personal selection yeah. yes . yea
Ok tell you what. I'll limit myself to one pick off each album & then add quicker mentions further down

I - MABU

  • Off their debut album, dates back to the EP they released when they were known as Topanga, first one i listened to & still a fave ;;; It's about Stefan(singer/frontman)'s old rundown family car. The music video for it is superfun because they give the car a last hurrah by taking it to a demolition derby

II - SLEEP IN THE HEAT

  • it's one of their most popular & it feels almost too easy to pick it but it's still def one of their most iconic. About Stefan's pet chameleon and his inability to keep it from dying. The crowd at the last show i was at sang the backing vocals from the break and got them to play that part again like 3 times. The music video is sad ( animal death ) & features Finn Wolfhard which some people know as Mike from stranger things but i've never seen stranger things so i don't.

III - SCORPION HILL

  • I'm picking this one over others from the 3rd album because it's a different vibe but also bc otherwise i would have ended up picking another of the big singles with a big music video. This one also goes hard live ( like most but like live they pick up the ending melody some more )

IV - PUPTHEBAND INC. IS FILING FOR BANKRUPTCY

  • igottasay i'm still mostly biased towards their older albums & sound but i wanted to throw in this one from the 4th one bc it can give a good look at how their sound evolved i think. they go more hardcore with it & also there's cool sax solo in there

>ok extra mentions now<
( i wont link these bc ourgh post already long enough as it is )
Reservoir : early hit early banger. goes hard great to mosh to
Guilt Trip : good also but mostly mentioning bc if you enjoyed the Sleep in the Heat vid, the guilt trip vid is kindof a prequel to it
If this tour doesnt kill you I will + DVP : these are two songs but they MUST be listened to one after the other bc one goes right into the next and it's extremely satisfying
Familiar Patterns : personal fave mostly, great riff
Kids : the big single with big music video from the 3rd album that i hinted at
Anaphylaxis : from the EP they released between album 3 & 4 , cool guitar sound
Totally Fine : neat one from the 4th album with funy music video. im running out of things to say i'll end it here you probably have MORE THAN ENOUGH im not great at making a selection sorry hope you enjoy some of them
