I assembled a programmable hotkey device with eight keys with RGB LEDs, a clickable rotary encoder, and an e-ink display to label them
the display is shown configured for use in Euro Truck Simulator, with keys bound to useful things that are hard to map onto a racing wheel - I'm particularly fond of the rotary encoder being the radio station chooser

the proximity sensor came as a freebie with the other parts, I don't really have a good use for it on this, haha
