More Female Racers round 4 took place today, and I decided to race in it this time. I had incorrectly assumed I'd be helping my teammate Eris Aphelion by contributing to the team championship, but unfortunately the team championship is separated by class. Even so it wasn't a waste of time, because I still had a lot of fun and I learned something important along the way.

What a wild race! My first long-distance oval race in my sim racing career and we didn't just finish in the top half, we got a top 15! Most importantly, none of the two crashes I was involved in were caused by me! I got pinched to the wall in the first wreck, and in the second I did my best to avoid the incident ahead but got collected as cars started coming down off the banking. Unfortunate, but I played my cards right and got a lucky dog exactly when I needed it to get on the lead lap on the final stretch.

Overall, I'm pretty impressed with my ABN Oval racing debut! Now it's time for a very long break from the ABN Gen 4 cup series until they head to Sonoma and Watkins Glen, since my main intention in this series was to race on the road courses. Woo!
