Septagram Internet Hazard Catalogue Entry 05 - [September 31st 1989]

Hazard type: Cognitive
Vector: Linguistic
Danger: Lethal/High disruption
Range: Widespread
NOTE: "September 31st 1989" is a proxy title for this catalogue entry, as the real title would cause immediate danger to users of the Septagram Internet Hazard Catalogue. The true title and matching/deactivation algorithm component are encrypted and protected with a mild auto-blur cognitopayload for your safety. Septagram Netcleaner has released this component to the public domain for use by other vendors and open source projects.

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO REVERSE ENGINEER THIS COMPONENT.
PLEASE THINK OF THE CONSEQUENCES.
YOU ONLY HAVE ONE LIFE.

September 31st 1989 (31/09/89) is an incorrect date that naturally occurs in the wild at a rate of approx 1 in 45,000,000. Observing this date and noting it to be inaccurate creates a TFR minicolumn cycle somewhere in the temporal lobe, leading to immediate loss of language and imminent SUDEP. This is fatal in all cases.

Although the date occurs naturally due to accidental typo and software glitching, it often appears in malicious contexts. These malicious uses of the date account for the vast majority of fatalities.

Filtering has been supported since the earliest public version of Septagram NetCleaner.
