whatever the cartoonist bit is of doing the sudden ultra-realistic zoom on the character face is called, I fucking love it every time, I adore it, I love it I love it. I doubt ren&stimpy pioneered it but it is what I think of as the first time I was aware of this, gorgeously rendered detail of several hairs coming out of an awful mole on the face with individually articulated face wrinkles, etc etc etc
