i don’t really like vagueposting and discoursing but i’m sufficiently bothered: there’s a post going around elsewhere making a broader point about why people want to stay on certain socials despite It All, and while the larger post doesn’t bug me there’s a part that jokes about wanting Cara to be deviantart but “without the fetish artists” and like, if that’s your vision of an ideal space for artists just go make a LinkedIn and be done with it

unfortunately deviantart’s real problem is that it dunked its whole head in the ai toilet and drank mightily of its water
a deviantart without fetishes may have The Moral High Ground (Sponsored by Mastercard & Visa) but a space plagued by a lack of proper moderation / moderation tools and procedural generation stink with none of the Rouge The Bat Breast Expansion doesn't really seem like it will stick around for long as an individual entity, if at all
Cara is more fittingly described as a pre-2021 ArtStation. I don't know where the comparison to DeviantArt came from, especially when that site got actually bad because of the CORE feature years ago.
when a fetish can be literally anything ever without even some slight focus touting something as 'barred of fetishes' is basically an impossible task at best and instigating on anyone for no good reason because it made you feel something at worst
