In 2009 someone pointing out that men don't sit in Microsoft conferences picking out the woman's name they'd like to have probably would've given me some insight. By 2013 I already knew well enough I was trans that there was nothing left for someone to say that would help. Just would've felt like a kick in the guts. Its hard to know the difference honestly.
If you think it'd help I'm happy to elaborate on basically any part of it. Its not all roses though.
Unsure. I'm definitely at the point where I know I'm not cis and am some flavor of enby. It's mostly just frustration and loneliness in the process of mapping that out when I am continually reminded it's a spot a lot of people "try out" before going for something more binary.
There is also the whole aspect of respectfully guiding someone towards resources that might aid them explore their gender identity (so that they may figure it out) vs being patronizing or pushy towards them, or not saying anything directly to them but gossiping with friends about it. There needs to be a serious push towards the notion that biological sex (which includes hormones), gender identity, and gender presentation are three distinct things that tend to overlap
