What have you been having for breakfast recently?
I had foccacia for breakfast today! usually just cereal tho, maybe toast with vegimite if ive got time
protein shakes, usually has a banana or greek yogurt and frozen blueberries with almond milk. been lifting in the mornings so it's good for keeping it light and easy but getting decent protein in my mostly vegetarian household
toasted english muffin with vegemite and a cup of tea. its not much but its nice
4 Kroger Brand Chicken Strips microwaved for 3 minutes and 40 seconds
filling, cheap, and not asking too much of my brain in the early hours
Greek yogurt with walnuts, fruit of some type (banana lately, but often frozen mixed berries), and all/some/none of: semisweet chocolate chips, cocoa powder, homemade rye granola.
Paired with 3 cups' worth of black tea leaves in 1 cups' worth of water. (Coffee substitute.)
Shakshuka over rice with a side of pickled radishes and some caffeinated switchel. Lots of work to prep the elements in advance to assemble for breakfasts over the week, but much worth it.
I recently got on the shashuka train - it's pretty delicious every time, it doubles up as lunch, and you get through all the leftover veg at the back of the fridge. Wins all round
right now I'm eating dry cereal, but I like to have a blueberry muffin and some fruit
one ramekin of all-bran buds and an energy drink, same as any other day
For most of my life, my breakfast has been a broken sugar cinnamon pop tart (off brand) and a glass of milk.
I'm about to have a homemade Dutch baby pancake
A slice of Freihofer's wheat bread with roughly a tablespoon of Skippy Honey Sweetened Natural Peanut Butter on it, folded in half and eaten while I wait for my coffee to cool
multigrain bagel, cream cheese, homemade jam (very grateful for partner who makes homemade jam)
but, like, on workdays, probably a bowl of cereal consisting of 1/4 some-sugar-cereal-my-kids-like and 3/4 some stuff that's less toxic
Oatmeal, every single day, for as long as I can remember.
either oatmeal, bagel, toast & yogurt, or Wild Card (egg? french toast? pop tart?)
regularly: breakfast sandwich consisting of a scrambled egg, frozen aldi sausage patty and aldi bagel
today: overnight oats with pear and almond and a cold bratwurst
Toasted bagel with non-dairy cream cheese has been a common one these past few weeks! I don't any more because I ate it all, but I recently had some plant sausage around that I pan-fried, and whenever I make a savory protein that has oil left over I like to make eggs in the same pan to soak it up :)
Thinking about getting some frozen breakfast sandwiches the next time I go grocery shopping, though.
