The best piece of music in all of DS9 is in the episode Starship Down where they're submerged in a gas giant and engaged in submarine-style conflict with the Jem'Hadar. There's a moment about 20 minutes in where they've turned off all their systems to become undetectable. There's complete silence, punctuated by tense, short notes by the strings, as everyone waits to see if their gambit works. It's an extremely effective bit of scoring and I think about it all the time
