i wonder if the author wrote this with optimism for the future or seeing the present and thinking how things should be
I guess i was thinking that the former is more like "wow computers are so cool i bet theyre going to be even better in the future" and the latter is "man computers suck. They should be like this instead"
it wasn't until i got to this paragraph in listening through the audiobook that i remembered that this post was what got me to put in a libby reservation for it, and i wanted to thank you for the post, i just finished listening and it was absolutely fantastic. i'm gonna be irritating the people in my life by constantly recommending they read this one for a long time
