Polluted water saved my best scythe run like 3 times so that's what I voted for but patience is also pretty cool.

Haven't gotten pacifist 0 yet (have only done one Chaos run) but FV is the one I had to make the most tries at, thought RtW would be toughest and definitely a lot of early-day deaths working on it but once you your scythe to Frenzy levels it's surprisingly indistinguishable from an ordinary run as long as you don't get too greedy with big snakes to be able to keep that pump primed...
