I'm not sure if that's on purpose but you can get the "beat developer score" achievement when defying fate (which might make it a bit too easy to get imo)

on the one hand, technically it's "bugged" in a way that makes it appear when it's not supposed to. on the other hand, it's the perfect punchline to an endless mode run. games are allowed to lie to the player or be incorrect if it's in pursuit of a stylistic goal (or accidentally stumbles into one)
