Well, actually the ending of Boom explains itself pretty well. What Boom actually explains is the thematic reason why Moffat keeps "reusing the same plot" of libraries full of dead people and digital ghosts.

Dang, this made me like Boom more! It's still my second-least-favorite episode of the season, but now it's "below The Devil's Chord" rather than "above Space Babies"
sidenote, I'm going long on Space Babies stocks, I think it's gonna get a reassessment with time, particularly after Whatever The Season Arc Is becomes apparent. I just have a good feeling about those babies, those space babies!
my biggest issue with Space Babies was honestly just the same issue the whole series has had so far - a lot of the time the pacing is too quick to really let anything sink in. The emotional arc felt very rushed by the end and the fart joke didn't make it feel any more earned haha.
I think the fourth thing is what I originally thought when I saw this episode: Once more we rode Steven Moffat's crazy ride of how we can make a more fucked up version of "Everybody Lives."
God this just reminds me that every companion got so fucked in nuwho that they finally formed a support group, but not for 11 or 12, they're all D E D dead.
hey the flip side is that they get to go have lesbian space adventures! so in a way they're probably having more fun than all the companions who unceremoniously got dumped lol
