Bounties were originally going to be part of the Economies of Scale update in SNAKE FARM, along with an alternate game mode called "Freelance Mode," but it turned out to be a way-too-big change to properly execute with the available resources. Now that I'm working on a new game, it's time to revisit the concept!
It's really neat being able to iterate on a design like this. Normally I make a game, put it out, and move on to something new; starting from the point of already knowing what works and building out from there is very enlightening!
This new game is a combination of:
- Stuff from the original game that worked
- New ideas to round out the parts that didn't work
- Complete shifts in the base concept to expand into new possibility space
And that's very fun!
