my one regret about gamedev is that it isn't really one of those careers where you can have like a cool defining personality trait that influences your technique. like you can't be like "i'm on a quest to find revenge for my family which is why i use freya holmer's iterated lerp fix"
my finely-honed technique "lightning stoicism" involves drawing a line from the present moment to the completion of a project and proceeding along it with full knowledge that, regardless of what happens, i will find my way to that point of completion. not every completion is a success, and sometimes a once-simple project takes years, but the fact that there will be an endpoint draws me towards it as surely as a lightning bolt goes from the sky to the ground. there is simply no other path, so i need not wonder.
